Why is there a nonce variable in the php and python examples?

As far as I can tell, the API unfortunately do not use a nonce today. Perhaps best to remove the nonce variables to avoid confusing users?

From the docs:

Note: If no previous request has been made you can set the value to any value (e.g. a timestamp with milliseconds). In the current implementation, to prevent breakage from clients that have not yet implemented the nonce, this field is optional. However if the nonce parameter is set once, the nonce parameter is always required for subsequent requests, so to avoid replay attacks make sure to include the nonce parameter in future requests.
