Empty build not so empty

When everyting is built and I start the build process again, there should be nothing to do: the second invocation is called “empty build”. But with 1.5.1 the empty build always prints some text, even if there is nothing to do:

$ ninja -j1 -v

Is this a problem?

Not really, but it is not so nice.

I don't prefer it either, but it feels like a very low priority issue. Can you give me a reason why someone should put time into making it do nothing on an 'empty build'?
