Major performance issues + consuming excessive memory?

On day 2 task 4, i was generally facing major performance issues (sluggish ui, maybe 1 or 2 fps) from time to time and after an execution attempt with these performance issues, eventually, the page froze up completely for a couple of seconds and then my browser crashed / was killed by OS, and a notification appeared informing me that librewolf was killed since it was using more memory than available. I have 16GB of Ram and i only had two pdfs and my file explorer open, and one other browser tab (cms). I dont have memory usage logs but i estimate that amazeing must have been using at least 10 Gb of RAM then.

My program code was lost since my browser deletes site data & cookies on close. But it wasnt absurdly complicated, it contained multiple loops and maybe i made a mistake where a function called itself or another recursive function. Don't know exactly how to reproduce this.

OS: Fedora Silverblue
DE: Gnome
Browser: Librewolf 149.0-1.

I will continue working on chromium from now on, hope it works better there.

This is siginificantly improved in the dev branch now with #63 and the fix will be published in the main version later. You can check the precourse forum for more details on the problem.
