@eincioch That's awesome, I hadn't actually considered VSCode when writing this.

The one thing that might be an issue - you can have way more installs of VSCode than just Insiders and Stable, right? I could install Stable 7 times just targeting different folders each time?

It almost feels like we need a vscode-where.exe similar to VS's vswhere.exe.
