From a fresh install: firefox 152.0.1 & stg 3.0.1 with no others firefox extensions.

• When i create the first group with 2 tabs when I restart firefox stg do not restore session, I have to select the session in stg menu.
• When I try to restore session backup (with or without "delete options...") firefox crashs and after restart, I have all sessions empty.

Desktop:

• OS and version: ubuntu / manjaro
• Firefox version: 152.0.1
• Simple Tab Groups version: 3.0.1

Additional context
When I use an old firefox profile in ~/.mozilla, not in ~/.config/mozilla, it works normaly !!?
The problems comes when the profile is in ~/.config/mozilla

Same for me. Changed firefox from snap to deb today, which also changed the config directory to ~/.config/mozilla. I noticed the archived groups are correctly restored, but the active ones are all empty.

Just had the same thing happen to me. Was closing all tabs in a group to prepare to delete the group, and closing the last tab closed Firefox. Upon restarting all my groups were empty, so I attempted restored from backup, but it keeps crashing.

STG 3.0.1??? That's an ancient version of the extension, how does that even run at all to begin with, on a recent Firefox version? The latest released version on the AMO is 5.3.2 from 2025-04-08.

I have exactly the same issue.
Firefox crashed after deleting tab from a group.
After restart, all groups are empty, FF crashed from restoring a backup
I'm on Mint 22.3 with Firefox 153.0.1 and STG 5.3.2

Following this advice (disabling native tabs group) :

I was able to restore the backup.

I tried this solution without success. But with a lot of tries, after create a new group from fresh install, importing without options (only bookmarks) my backup, restarting and making new backups it works (with a lot of unsuccessful tries)...

I insist on my issues came from a fresh install with configuration stored in ~/.config/mozilla. with the old way: ~/.mozilla I have no issue !
