Strix Point (Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 370) – PM Table fields showing nan (Minisforum N5 Pro) #392

Description

@DartSteven

Hi,

I'm reporting missing / nan PM table fields on a Strix Point system and would like to contribute my PM table dump to help improve support.

Hardware / Platform

  • System: Minisforum N5 Pro (NAS)
  • Vendor: Micro (HK) Tech
  • Model: N5 PRO v1.0
  • Motherboard: Shenzhen Meigao Equipment F8NAA v1.0
  • BIOS/UEFI: American Megatrends LLC v1.04 (2025-06-13)

CPU

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 370
  • Family: Strix Point
  • Cores / Threads: 12C / 24T
  • iGPU: Radeon 890M

GPU

  • Driver: amdgpu (kernel)
  • Mesa: 25.0.7
  • Renderer: radeonsi gfx1150
  • Machine type: headless (NAS, no display server)

Software Environment

  • OS: Debian GNU/Linux 13 (trixie)
  • Kernel: 6.18.1-x64v3-xanmod1
  • RyzenAdj version: v0.18.0
  • Execution mode: /dev/mem fallback
(no compatible ryzen_smu kernel module found)

Working Parameters

The following parameters are readable and writable correctly:

  • stapm-limit
  • fast-limit
  • slow-limit

Example:

sudo ryzenadj --stapm-limit=35000 --fast-limit=40000 --slow-limit=38000

Values persist and are correctly reported by ryzenadj -i.

Parameters showing nan

The following fields always show nan:

  • StapmTimeConst
  • SlowPPTTimeConst
  • PPT LIMIT APU
  • TDC LIMIT VDD / SOC
  • EDC LIMIT VDD / SOC
  • THM LIMIT CORE
  • STT LIMIT APU
  • STT LIMIT dGPU
  • CCLK Boost SETPOINT
  • CCLK BUSY VALUE

Example output snippet:

Parameter Value
StapmTimeConst nan
SlowPPTTimeConst nan
PPT LIMIT APU nan
TDC LIMIT VDD nan
EDC LIMIT SOC nan
THM LIMIT CORE nan
STT LIMIT APU nan
CCLK Boost SETPOINT nan

PM Table Dump

I have dumped the full PM table from this system and can provide it here or as an attachment:

sudo ryzenadj --dump-table > strix-point-pmtable.txt

Please let me know:if there is a preferred format
if additional debug flags or logs would help
if I should open a separate PR once offsets are identified

I’m happy to help test patches or validate new mappings for Strix Point. Thanks for your work on RyzenAdj.
