coast -E fails after PR #8846

To reproduce the issue:

gmt coast -R-10/15/25/44 -JM15c -Ba -Gbrown -EES+gbisque+pblue -pdf map

GMT 6.6	GMT 6.7.0_953b03a_2025.12.27

It worked before PR #8846.

OK, will have to find what the shit is this. Fig sizes are really different too?

My wild guess is that the +g in -E is somehow interfering with the -G+g in that PR.

Not much time in the next few days to look at this. If anyone want to test this hypothesis, please feel free to.

I ran the script using GMT 6.6 and also with the current version enabling the -Vd option.

With GMT 6.6, the message plot [DEBUG]: Polar cap: 0 appears for every plotting segment. Below is a more complete excerpt of the debug output showing the full context for several segments:

Does this help anyone identify what might be going on, or whether this behavior is expected?
