Browser tab content shakes when opening DevTools

When opening DevTools via F12 or other methods on any tab, the tab content shakes (appears as if the right and bottom borders momentarily disappear and then immediately restore). This phenomenon is more easily observed when the DevTools dock location is set to "Undock into separate window".

I'm not sure if this issue should be reported here. However, I only observe this phenomenon when opening DevTools - opening other sidebars does not cause this issue.

Thank you for your report. I don't think I can repro this issue. Do you mind sharing a screen recording of it?

Do you see this in all other channels of Edge (canary, dev, beta)? Does it also appear on Chrome?

I can repro it in the canary and beta channels (I haven't tried the dev channel yet). It doesn't appear on Chrome.

Here is the recording. What I did in this recording was just repeatedly pressing F12.

I'm on version 143.0.3650.80 (Official build) (64-bit) and wasn't able to repro it by following your steps. Are you still experiencing this issue?

Yes, the issue persists. I've encountered this problem on three different computers of Win10 or Win11. Moreover, as mentioned earlier, this issue can be reproduced in both the canary(145.0.3744.0) and beta(144.0.3719.18) channels.
