Why are you nominating this person?

I use it every day, I'm at my desk a lot, so I could help with the janitorial aspects and also a links/resources page.

What do you currently like about the community?

I've been a member since 2016 and I recommend this slack to everyone interested in GIS/carto; knowledgable, helpful people, no rudeness, and I've never failed to get a question answered.

Also the cornucopia of channels lets you pick your experience so you need never see anything not relevant to your geo-interests.

What would you consider changing about the community, if anything?

Big meta-sheet for links and resources kinda like https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kKIZxGNNjY4K_07fKHmxunzoruju6gODeWaD5IUe9Wc/edit?gid=1825267729#gid=1825267729

If Slack's "we keep your messages" plan wasn't ruinously expensive I'd change that, but, til we find a benefactor...

Which of the listed admin tasks would you be most able to support?

Send invites, spam removal, COC enforcement (I've seen almost no computer-rudeness across my 9 years of using this slack, maybe that's because I don't use #random or the political channels), channel pruning, site and doc updates.

Any other special skills or relevant experience?

What channels do you currently spend time in - or, what are your areas of experience?

#newcomer-questions
#remote-sensing
#data-sources
#job
#career

Where in the world are you located, and what timezone are you in?

California, UTC -8
