Following up on #753: the macOS version is out. It shipped today in v1.4.0 of Media-Converter, as a beta.
Right-click files in Finder and you get a File Converter submenu with the presets, filtered to the file types you selected, same idea as here. Conversions show a native progress window, and video encoding can use VideoToolbox. It needs Homebrew and the Xcode command line tools for now; the install steps are on the repo.
So far I've only been able to test it on Apple Silicon, so I'd really appreciate testers on Intel Macs and older macOS versions, plus any general feedback. The Linux side got a good number of fixes in this release too. If you run into issues, please open one on the repo! Thanks in advance!
