Replace the link site and talk site?

Is it possible? Let us register on a single MWS server, and use it as "Facebook" and forum?

Hi @linonetwo I would love to replace the link site with something that made submissions easier, and I don’t think that’s an overly ambitious goal. Conversely, I think it would currently be impractical to completely replace TalkTW.

Perhaps the obvious thing to focus on first would be making the CPL into the official plugin library. We now have an infrastructure team, and enough financial resources, to be able to run servers (almost all of TW’s current infrastructure is just static files hosted on GitHub).

Maybe you can setup an MWS instance so we could play around, announce it is beta of next version of link site, so we have an direction to interact with it.

For CPL, I'm writing a server version of it in https://github.com/tiddly-gittly/TiddlyWiki-CPL/tree/feat/server , it will be a simple server plugin that add some server route to download plugin and record download count. Also allow oauth for signup and rate the plugin. And plugins will store in files/ folder (allows unrecorded download).

BTY I post this discussion is exactly because I'm thinking how to authorize on the CPL server, now I only add Github oauth login, but I hope MWS or our forum could provides an account system to provide oauth login.

Thanks @linonetwo. I had mistakenly thought that CPL already had a server component.

I should have mentioned that @kjharcombe and @Arlen22 are working together to build and maintain a community instance of MWS which we can use for a variety of purposes, which I had envisaged to include a plugin library back end. I am hoping that users will be able to log in using their existing TalkTW credentials.
