Normalisation (downmixing) #52

Hey man, currently you have my favourite config-builds out of the bajilion that exist, and for displaying HDR content I don't think I've found any better, so thank you ^^ My simple question though is for when I am using (stereo, Sennheiser) headphones, watching content with say a 7.1 mix, and using Equalizer APO with HeSuVi virtualization; does your normalisation downmixing (which is on by default) get in the way of this at all (i.e. mess up the audio)? I haven't (yet) noticed a great deal of difference whether it's on or off with the same headphones, but I'm curious on your input for future reference. Also I normally use the PC audio through a couple of wireless earbuds. Sorry if repeat question; thanks. |

I'm glad you like my config! A tip to maximise your displays HDR capabilities is to tweak the gamma/contrast/brightness. Keep in mind this is on a per file basis but the changes are persistent even in playlists. I'm not too familiar with the software you mentioned but i think as long as it doesn’t' do any downmixing it should be fine. |
