Accept a time_zone argument to override system time?

Some of our users have set a time_zone preference and we want to respect that preference regardless of where their computer happens to be.

We have the same issue. Unfortunately the disconnect is causing some users to see the wrong date/times with certain rendered views.

@jhubert im not sure how actively maintained this gem is... I might try my hand at implementing this but would be annoying to not have the PR accepted. It'd be nice to hear from maintainers if they'd be open to this
