WELCOME OUTREACHY CANDIDATES!!!

We're excited to be part of Outreachy and to build a successful experience for all participants.

Here's how candidates should get started with us:
Step 1) Find a issue that is a good fit for your skills and interests. If you don't find an issue in this repo, look in all the other bugmark repos, especially bugmark/website.
Step 2) When you find an issue you like, post a comment "I'd like to work on this issue". Bonus points if you give reasons why. Then we'll chat a bit about fit and outcomes. Then you'll get started. If someone else is already working on the issue you like best, let's talk and see if it makes sense for you to work together.
Step 3) If you don't find any issues you like, post a comment on this thread "I can't find any issues". Then we'll chat and come up with something that fits your skills and interests.

Note that we have needs across many areas: algorithms, Rails dev, web design, Ruby, Python, documentation, web marketing, machine learning, Elixir, data visualization, collaboration infrastructure, etc. Primarily we want people who are organized and self-motivated with very good communication and attention to detail.

@andyl Thank you for such a nice description.
I am new to Ruby and Rails dev. I have been involved in web development more. I will be happy to learn Ruby and Rails. :) Am I eligible for applying for this project?

@Shruti9520 - probably, but maybe not for hard-core Rails dev. We've got limited resources, no time to teach a technical subject as large as Rails. But there are tons of other valuable things you could do as Ruby newbie, right away. For example, our documentation needs help. Our test suite needs to be fleshed out. We need people to write bots and simulations. We need Bash completion for our CL! Best thing is to start with an issue that is small and simple, and we'll expand the scope of your work as we go.
