Cursor loses focus when switching input language on GNOME #9960

Description

When using Huly in Firefox (PWA or in a tab) on GNOME (Manjaro Linux), the text input cursor loses focus if I switch the input language with Super+Space (the default GNOME shortcut).

After switching language, I have to click back into the input field with the mouse to continue typing. This does not happen in other apps or websites, only in Huly.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Huly in Firefox (latest version) on GNOME.
  2. Focus any input field (e.g. task title, description, comment).
  3. Start typing.
  4. Press Super+Space to switch the input language (e.g. English → Persian).
  5. Try typing again.

Expected Behavior

The text cursor should stay active in the input field after switching input language, so I can continue typing without clicking.

Actual Behavior

The cursor/focus is lost, and I need to click into the input field again to continue typing.

Environment

  • OS: Manjaro Linux (GNOME)
  • Browser: Firefox 143
  • App version: Huly web app (0.7.204, self-hosted)
  • Keyboard shortcut: Super+Space (default GNOME input source switcher)

Notes

This seems related to how the app handles input method focus on GNOME. Other web apps keep focus after switching input language.
