If there's a better forum for "support" please let me know, but I'm here because I have an ASUS NUC Pro Intel core7) which
was freezing when playing a game if the KDE performance was set to powersave or balanced. Performance was
fine, likely because it kicks up the fans.
I have tried and failed for most of the day trying to come up with a trip to enable intel passive powersave
modes with no results. Running a tight loop in bash increases CPU temp to 100C (44C idle). and thermald
debug doesn't indicate any change.
Could somebody possibly post a thermald command line along with an xml trip that engages the
intel passive throttling?

If there's a better forum for "support" please let me know, but I'm here because I have an ASUS NUC Pro Intel core7) which
was freezing when playing a game if the KDE performance was set to powersave or balanced. Performance was
fine, likely because it kicks up the fans.
I have tried and failed for most of the day trying to come up with a trip to enable intel passive powersave
modes with no results. Running a tight loop in bash increases CPU temp to 100C (44C idle). and thermald
debug doesn't indicate any change.
Could somebody possibly post a thermald command line along with an xml trip that engages the
intel passive throttling?
