Support for pfSense CE 2.8.0

Hello everyone!

As you may have already seen, Netgate as officially released pfSense CE 2.8.0! I'm happy to announce that full compatibility with 2.8.0 will be available in REST API v2.5.0 and will be released later this week. Please note that the v2.4.x builds for pfSense CE 2.7.2 and pfSense Plus 24.11 are not fully compatible and should not be used on pfSense CE 2.8.0. Until v2.5.0 is released, it is strongly recommended you either stay on pfSense CE 2.7.2, or wait to reinstall the package on pfSense CE 2.8.0.

I have been closely monitoring changes introduced in 2.8.0 and have been testing compatibility with the REST API package since the 2.8.0-BETA was initially released. This has allowed a majority of the breaking changes to be addressed ahead of time. There are still a small number of fixes being finalized now that the final build of 2.8.0 is available. Starting with v2.5.0, support for pfSense CE 2.7.2 and pfSense Plus 24.03 will be dropped as the necessary changes are not backwards compatible with these releases.

As with any release, testing in a non-production environment is recommended to safely ensure compatibility with your existing integrations.

i have 2.4.3v.
i cant´upgrade to 2.5.0
however, pf doesnt show me avaliables updates.
Neither in the GUI nor in the console
what can i do?

v2.5.0 can only be installed on pfSense CE 2.8.0 or pfSense Plus 24.11. It's not a valid update candidate on CE 2.7.2. You'll need to upgrade to CE 2.8.0 to install v2.5.0. v2.4.x will still receive security updates and small fixes for a short time to accommodate users who can't upgrade to CE 2.8.0 yet.
