Will be postponing this move as the legacy v1 codebase is not designed to automatically follow the redirect to the new repo URL after the move. A patch for v1 will be released to address the issue and time will be given for users still on v1 to update before the repo is moved. |

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to give a heads up. I have decided to move this repo along with some of my other pfSense related projects off of my personal GitHub and into a new pfrest GitHub organization. I believe this will help bolster the project's reputation and make it easier for myself and others build, maintain and contribute to these projects going forward. I will continue to work on and maintain these projects as usual.
This move will happen alongside the upcoming release of version
v2.6.0which is expected around the release of pfSense CE 2.8.1.What Does This Mean for You?
For the vast majority of you, there is no expected functional disruption. GitHub will automatically redirect requests from the old URL to the new one. This includes Git URLs, and web browser links.
However, I do strongly encourage all users to update applicable Git remotes, scripts, and documentation that may reference the old URL to use the new repository URL soon after the repo is transferred. I will post a follow up announcement after the transfer is done.
The URL will change as follows:
https://github.com/jaredhendrickson13/pfsense-apihttps://github.com/pfrest/pfSense-pkg-RESTAPIOpportunities for client maintainers
The organization is intended to serve as a centralized hub for the community and related projects. Those who have built and maintain client libraries or other projects related to the REST API are welcome to submit a request to host and maintain the project under the pfrest organization. If you are interested, please open a discussion in this repository and include a link to the public repo containing your code for review.
Thanks!
