the fps drops is huge

as u can see the fps drop is unbelievable in this game only other games i tested wasn't as bad as this and when i used the wrapper leegao (0.0.5.r5)
it was much stable compared to this but the ram was way higher than wrapper leegao (prototype 2)
*prototype 2: 79% (30%)
because when i closed the game the ram usage was 49%
*0.0.5.r5 : 95% (55%)
because when i closed the game the ram was 40%
device : poco x7 pro (dimensity 8400) 12gb of ram

Yeah large open-world games will do texture streaming in-game, which will load these textures in (requiring the expensive recompression steps during rendering). Smaller games generally do most of their loading in the loading screen. Might be something that can be solved with a caching layer in the middle, but for truly stutter free gameplay, you'll basically need to save a full copy of the recompressed textures for the full game, which would probably be 10s of gbs for games like this.

Does setting BCN_TRANSCODE_TO_ETC1=1 (even lower quality that BCN_TRANSCODE_TO_ETC2=1) improve the frame rates?

using the BCN_TRANSCODE_TO_ASTC=1 solved the issue i had no need to try etc1
