The grading rubrics are often written in the format of what is to be expected of the answer, hence no help or suggestion about the answer itself is in them. If that is the case, could it be beneficial to give the grading rubrics to the students in the actual exam? That is, along with the question, also clearly state what is expected for a 1p mark, 2p mark etc.
