can't choose recepie location

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to 'Cookbook'
2. Click on 'Setting'
3. Click on '/Recepie'
4. Choose your new directory
5. Not changing
   Expected behavior

Well it should change the location

Actual behavior
Please describe in clear statements what is happening in reality.

It's not changing, the location remains the same.

Do you have recipes already imported prior to switching the folder?

I fear there is a misunderstood on what you can do with that seeing. It define the location where the cookbook app tries to read and store the recipes. It does not move the folder physically there. So, you would have to move it first in the files app, then adjust the location in the cookbook. It can happen that a new cookbook was started but this is critical and is empty. Just delete it.

No. What I try to do is change the location from the folder /Recepies to example /test. But after clicking on choose test as new folder it's defaulting back to /Recepies

This looks to be the same as #2274, suggesting it's been a problem for years. I have the exact same issue, the recipe location setting simply does not change when selecting a different directory.

I think I have the same problem. For me there is a warning inside the browser console whenever I try to change the location

warn |  Could not select new recipe folder. Error Message: this.setUpdatingRecipeDirectoryMigration is not a function

Following for having the same issue:
Trying to share a cookbook folder across various nextcloud users
logfile does not show warnings, but folder just doesnt change in the settings
