Special problem with special keys

[TheOnlyJho]

I'm using bottles to play Wow which works just fine.

However I am using a german keyboard and the action bar of the game has 12 buttons. These are per default assigned to the keys '1' to '0' and then the next two keys (top row of the keyboard).

The next 2 keys are 'ß' and '´' (special Eszett character and the accent).

And i cannot use these keys as a key binding of the remaining two buttons of the action bar. If I try to set them in the keybindings settings of the game, just nothing happens when i press these two keys.

• I use a keyboard layout with dead_akut setting while gaming, so the '´' character is not used as the start to enter an accented character like 'é'. It is typed as is. So that is not the problem (and would not explain why the ß-key does not work).
• I can type the characters everywhere else in any input field in the game and they work as expected. So the language settings seem to be just fine.
• For example I can filter the keybindings by 'ß' and found out that Ctrl-'ß' actually lowers the games main volume.
• The keybindings for controlling the main volume are in fact Ctrl-'ß' and Ctrl-'´' and they work just fine.

So typing works, keybindings with Ctrl work, just not the pure keys. The same applies for the keys 'ä', 'ö' and 'ü' but I'm not complaining about them as I don't want to use these.

Has anyone an idea how to fix this or where to look for an explanation?
