laptop doesn't wake up after suspend

I’ve recently switched back to Elementary after using other distros for a while.
I’m excited about Elementary again – everything’s working really well and it’s very smooth.
However, I’ve had one issue for the past few days:
after the system goes to sleep due to inactivity, it won’t wake up; the screen stays black and none of the keys work. The only way to fix it is to hold down the power button, switch it off, and then switch it back on.
I have a Latitude 7240 laptop with 16 GB of RAM.

Does anyone have any ideas?
I’ve tried looking around; some people say to change the kernel or disable Wayland, but I don’t think I can change the kernel on Elementary.

i have this issue too. After leaving the laptop on until it suspends itself, the laptop goes blank when I try to turn it on. I use LOQ AHP9
