Hey @AlanjRichardson, I'm aware of this issue. Phoenix doesn’t work on the latest version of Ubuntu because some required libraries are missing. I’ll take a look and see what can be done. Apologies! |

I've been trying all morning to get this running on Ubuntu 25. Forget it! This is why we need a snap version, so the app doesn't break every time the OS is updated. For now, I just saved phcode.dev, the web version, as an app on my web browser. I bet it is nearly 100 percent identical to the app I've been trying for hours to install. |

Can someone confirm if there is a .deb, AppImage, Snap, or Flatpak? I recently used the Windows version and observed that switching to the web version results in significant functionality loss. I don't seem to be able to save files. It's a shame the developers can't seem to figure out how to package such a useful little app! And heck, it looks like the app is mostly Javascript and html, but we can't make an installer for this? |

Yesterday, I solicited the help of Google's Gemini about my installation problems (I grew up with DOS/Windows). I don't know much about Linux. Gemini literally kept talking smack about the developers of Phoenix Code, saying they shouldn't be including outdated libraries and how a snap package would avoid all of the problems I was having. Also explained that adding old repositories could make my system stop working. I finally gave up. Well—I never really give up. I installed Debian 13 with Cinnamon. Everything functions flawlessly, and I can install almost anything without issues. |

I have upgraded to UBuntu 25.10 it has Glibc version 2.42. I already had Phoenix code installed pre-upgrade. It will not launch. I have tried uninstall, re-install. I guess Glibc is the problem ?
