Executive Summary

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the Crab Network sunset process. As of today, the network has been officially halted, and the value migration to the Ring Ecosystem (Darwinia) has been executed via a comprehensive RING airdrop.

This strategic transition marks a pivotal moment for the Ring Ecosystem. By consolidating our resources, we streamline operations, reduce fragmentation, and accelerate the development of our core infrastructure.

Sunset Execution & Snapshot

The Crab Network blockchain was officially stopped at block height #9759878. This block served as the definitive "point in time" for all state calculations.

Following the roadmap established by community governance, a complete snapshot of all token holders—including native assets, wrapped tokens, and staking derivatives—was taken at this final block. This data formed the immutable basis for the airdrop calculations.

Governance Mandate

This process was executed in strict accordance with the proposals ratified by the community:

• Proposal 1: Ring Ecosystem Discussion #43 - Established the sunset framework.
• Proposal 2: Ring Ecosystem Discussion #44 - Defined the asset migration and valuation ratios.

Airdrop Distribution

The distribution of 37.43M RING to former Crab Network holders has been successfully completed. The process involved complex calculations to account for various asset states (liquid, staked, LP-bonded) and was executed in batched transactions to ensure accuracy and security.

Governance Record: Procedural Distortion and Precedent Risk in Crab Network Sunset
This comment formally documents material governance defects in the Crab Network sunset process and its long-term implications.
The outcome was not the result of neutral stakeholder governance. It was produced through accelerated execution, altered voting scope, and process control that effectively determined the result before meaningful deliberation could occur.
Key governance failures
Deliberation was structurally bypassed.
Voting mechanics, snapshot height, burn addresses, and deadlines were initiated immediately upon proposal posting. This eliminated any neutral discussion or signaling phase and prevented competing proposals from being evaluated on equal footing.
Voting legitimacy was altered mid-process.
Tokens previously understood as non-voting or out-of-scope for this decision class were permitted to vote. This materially expanded the voter base in a manner that directly favored the executing proposal and altered the outcome.
Competing proposals were blocked procedurally, not defeated.
Alternative proposals were not rejected by stakeholder vote. They were rendered nonviable through rushed execution and parameter finalization that foreclosed participation before governance could meaningfully occur.
Formal rule compliance was used to override governance integrity.
A literal reading of mechanics was prioritized over fair notice, stable voting scope, and informed consent. This is governance by technicality, not legitimacy.
Risk and time were excluded from outcome weighting.
Long-duration commitment, illiquidity, and governance participation were not meaningfully recognized in the final distribution, despite being central to stakeholder risk exposure.
