I have to tell you this...

Ever since I and @TGS963 made Upscayl, it went from being a project we wanted for ourselves to a project hundreds of thousands of people have found a use for. I couldn't be more grateful for the success we've seen so far, and it's all because of you guys. You made Upscayl into what it is today.

Unfortunately, we've got busy lives. All of us developing the software have full-time jobs, things to do and so life happened and we got stuck in the web of duties. One duty, however, was ignored. The thing that we owe you the most. It's rather difficult to build software and maintain it. Upscayl has taken hundreds of hours to build and I couldn't be more thankful for the opportunity the open-source community has given us.

I didn't think I'd come back here to say this, but I guess I really have to. So that I don't keep anyone in the dark anymore. The thing is, with all the life stuff happening, Upscayl Desktop app has gotten very little care, and I'm afraid I do not want you all to keep hoping for something that's not going to happen. I want to be 100% honest with you guys.

I guess this is the part where we part ways. So, here goes nothing...

We're parting ways with fewer updates, less communication and less joy because Upscayl is going nowhere 🥳 We're coming up with a BRAND NEW UPSCAYL v3 with a shiny new UI (my god, I love shiny things!), and more features than ever!

We're excited to tell you what we're cooking, and in the coming weeks, you'll get to see more of it! Yes, we're busy and we have other things to take care of but Upscayl is our duty and our responsibility too! We're not leaving you guys anytime soon. You'll have a pretty hard time getting rid of us anyway 😌

TLDR:

• We're grateful for all the love and support.
• Upscayl is going nowhere.
• V3 is coming with a brand new look and amazing new features!

I use Upscayl occasionaly and it has been a blessing. I have introduced it to a small business owner that uses is much more. Is there a way we can make donations to help you? $ is ok but XRP or XLM is much easier for international.
