it happened with me, too. But just because I have interrupted the npm install after an infinity install process, so the jsxc module was not installed. try manually install via "npm install jsxc".

I don't know why, but the "npm install react-boilerplate" is slow, So, if you wait, the things will get done.

make sure that the ./src and ./lib directory exists before run the build script. but for this type of error the message should be:

jsxc src/ lib/
ERROR: "src/" must exist
npm ERR! react-boilerplate@0.2.0 build: jsxc src/ lib/
npm ERR! Exit status 1

Based on my installation process and errors I could guess that you have tried to install via npm, right? Because when I re-tried but via git clone all errors before had not happened.

Try:
git clone https://github.c/petehunt/react-boilerplate
npm install
npm run build
npm start

I have the same result as @vbarbarosh. Installing jsxc through npm fixes it.

I had the same issue – jsxc is not installed. The first answer given by @feliperoberto fixes the problem. I manually installed jsxc by running the following from the command line:

npm install jsxc

So the full order would be:

git clone https://github.c/petehunt/react-boilerplate
npm install
npm install jsxc
npm run build
npm start

Had the same issue. I believe it was caused by having a problem of creating symbolic link on a share folder between Windows and Ubuntu Virtual Box. Works good after I do "npm install" in a ubuntu directory that is not on a shared disk.

Just wait until "npm install" finished. It took some time that ı didn't understand. When installation is over , jsxc is working well.
