Inconsistent colors on empty lines #162

See those 2 screenshots:
See line 73. It didn't capture the cursor in this screenshots but it's at line 73 at the end right below the r from the return from the line above.
Only after I type a character a it fixes the colors. Before there was a checkerboard pattern.
What can I do to get consistent colors of the indent guides during coding when appending a new line?
