"Go to latest stable release" button is broken if the latest release is yanked

When pressing the "Go to latest stable release" button, it takes me to current page and the button stays there. The versions at the time of reporting are:

It seems like the button is shown if there a new stable version is available but it does not check if the newer version has yanked. Navigating /latest takes yanked versions into account

yep, that sounds like a bug, where the find-latest-version logic somehow differs from the thing that shows the button.
