Parser return None with "1 minute ago"

Since version 1.2.2, this is returning None

from dateparser import parse
print(parse('1 minute ago'))

This was working in <=1.2.1
It is still working with other date parts like day second ...

I'm having the same issue, but I don't think it's related to the 1.2.2 release, I think it's due to the new regex 2025.7.31.

@Thomas-Z I did some debugging and it appears to be related to the timezone cache pickle file that started getting distributed with 1.2.2.

Perhaps the Python objects inside it were generated with an older version of regex?

If I delete the file dateparser/data/dateparser_tz_cache.pkl from site-packages, it starts working for me

And yes, you're right, this does solve the problem.
The regex release itself (which introduced a few bugs and required some quick fixes) isn’t the whole issue though.

Out[4]: '1.2.2'

In [5]: print(parse('1 minute ago'))
2025-08-08 14:12:03.525454

It is working in the 1.2.2 version.
