Reproduction steps

  1. Log in to the Viewer.
  2. Click on the navigation bar and enter any text (for example: test regression).
  3. Press ‘Enter’.
  4. Observe the search results.

Actual result:
A search performed through the navigation bar returns results with all available filters.

Expected result:
A search performed through the navigation bar returns results with ‘Places’ and ‘Destination Guide’ filters.

Additional information:
According to the ‘FUI: Navigation Regression Test Plan’ - 3.9. Navigation bar search.
This issue was found in the scope of IQA #245.
This issue is reproduced on Win10 and OSX.
This issue is reproduced on the current release 7.1.8.9375512768 and on tested 7.1.9.9473057952 builds.

This behavior may be the new expected result after updating the search.

But, in my opinion, it is logical that when searching in the navigation bar, search results should be returned only for places and destination guides.
The same behavior (search only by a specific filter) works when searching in groups and people (people floater).

In the previous regression, I left a comment in the test plan to clarify how expected this behavior is. But in the current regression, I decided to file it as a ticket.

I would also like to clarify the following test case in the test plan:
‘Change filters and close the Search floater. Reenter text in the Navigation bar and press Enter. Verify filters are the same as what was previously selected.’

In my understanding, when you re-enter the text, the search should open again with only two selected filters (places and destination guides).
Or should the search still remember the selected filters changed by the user in the previous request?
