• Your purpose in using this API:
  Rawi is a free iOS app (Apple App Store) and website that lets users read the six major hadith collections — Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud, Jami' at-Tirmidhi, Sunan an-Nasa'i, and Sunan Ibn Majah — in Arabic with English translation, offline. It is completely free and non-commercial (intended as sadaqah jariyah), with no ads and no logins. The app will clearly credit "Hadith data provided by sunnah.com".

• API rate limits:

  • Maximum requests per second: 1–2 (very low)
  • Maximum requests per day: low — I only need a one-time bulk download to bundle the collections for offline use, then cache locally.

• Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
  An offline dump/snapshot would suit my use case perfectly, since I bundle the data for offline reading. Either an offline data dump or standard API access would work well for me — whichever is easier for you to provide.
