Copy and paste results in a blob of unformatted text unless specifically pasting as plain text #698

Description

@scottaw66

What would you like to know?

At some point, copying output from Supacode and pasting into any other app that doesn't change all text to plain text by default changed to now resulting in a single blob of text instead of a formatted with new lines, tabs, etc., unless I specifically paste as plain text using a paste utility.

How can I restore the previous behavior of never having to plaintext format my paste of output from supacode for it to keep its tabs, newlines, and other formatting of the command line output?

What have you tried?

I figured out converting to plaintext would fix it by pasting into BBEdit and noticing that it formatted correctly there. Since I use Paste as my clipboard utility, I can just use its plaintext paste function, but it is an extra step that takes an extra second or two.
