Describe the question

I can't preview image in TIFF format nor RAF (Fuji film raw files).
The output for TFF is: "The image format TFF is not supported"
For RAF: "File Type Classification : data"

In my yazy.toml I have this linese:

You should use mime instead of name for mime-types, also the mimetype of TIFF files is image/tiff where no dots, so *.tiff won't work. Doc: https://yazi-rs.github.io/docs/configuration/yazi#plugin.previewers

As for RAF files, don't use the magick previerer, since ImageMagick is extremely slow for this job - for a 53.8M RAF file, it took 12.969s!

Instead, use some tools like dcraw with a custom previewer, which is instant - only 0.012s:

which are wrongly identified as mimetype: application/octet-stream and not as image/x-fujifilm-raf

Yazi uses file(1) to identify the file mimetype and sometimes it may return incorrect results, so Yazi also supports the name rule.

In such cases, you can use name = "*.raf" (note that, not name = "image/*.raf", because it matches the file name, not the mimetype).

No, it should be prepend_previewers instead of prepend_preloaders, since you want to change how the file is previewed.

Thank you again and sorry for my clumsiness.
I did change the line into:

prepend_previewers = [
  { mime = "image/tiff", run = "magick" },
]

Now the tiff files are not showned, no error message, only a blank preview panel.
I do have ImageMagick installed, I do know what else I'm missing.

Can you try the latest nightly to see if there are any errors? The preview errors in the latest nightly have recently been improved in #2917

I've uninstalled v.25.6 and installed v.25.5.31. Tiff preview is working and RAF files are recognized as fuji film jpg. I still don't have the RAF file preview but I'm progressing. Thank you.

For RAF files though, I may need some advice:
I should use a custom previewer for RAF using dcraw, I've these lines in yazi.toml :

Indeed. Btw, raf is a supported format by imagemagick, so the preview should work with magick. On a side note, dcraw is fast because it extracts the embedded thumbnail - it doesn't generate it like imagemagick.
