Map lines

I am currently in the process of making a track for a game, which uses Tangram heightmappes for height data etc. However for using it I need to also use map lines to line it up correctly but considering the size of the track I need to zoom it in to about #17 but the map lines don't seem to work if I have zoomed in more than #12. #12 or under seems to show map lines but as soon as I zoom in more they disappear.

Im having the same problem when making tracks for mx bikes too and i dont know why and im getting frustrated
