I spend my day job reading ISO 8583 messages that broke and figuring out why. Three years in fintech card-processing support taught me to read a hex dump of an authorization request and tell you which field is lying to you.
Outside of ticket queues, I build things that make that same protocol legible to other people.
iso8583-decoder decodes ASCII and binary/BCD ISO 8583 messages into readable fields with diagnostics, not just a dump. No default encoding: guessing wrong produces a plausible-looking wrong answer, and that's worse than an honest failure. 234 tests, CI on every push, a live demo.
ticket-triage is a CLI that classifies support tickets against a fixed taxonomy and drafts responses with retrieval-backed citations. Still in progress; the README says exactly which numbers aren't real yet.
