It cames from installed/build/relevance status (✔) in Homebrew-cli, but as GUI will potentially inovlve more less-experienced users this could be confusing as "verified" status, commonly used in modern UI language.
My suggestion is to clearly indicate deprecation status, and also accompany tick mark with tooltip stating it meaning
