Content search preview: never half a surrogate pair - #2081
Henk's pedantic point 1 on #2075. The 200-character preview window around a match (NativeGrep::matchFile) could start or end inside a surrogate pair, for example an emoji or a CJK Extension B character. That left a lone surrogate next to the "…".
A window that starts on a low surrogate now also takes the high surrogate before it.
A window that ends on a high surrogate now also takes the low surrogate after it.
The preview can therefore be up to two code units longer than kMaxPreviewLength, one per edge, and the doc says so.
Point 2 (init() repeats the "GPG home does not exist" status on each re-encryption) is unchanged: harmless, and arguably right, as the review says.
Test plan
grepTakesABoundedNumberOfMatches adds a line of emojis, then xhit, then more emojis. The x puts the match an odd number of code units into the line, so the window starts inside one pair and ends inside another. The test fails if a lone surrogate is left at either edge.
Mutation checks: removing either edge's adjustment makes the test fail.
make check: 1526/1526 pass. doxygen is clean. The full super-linter passes locally (pinned v9.0.0 image).
Long-line search previews now adjust their boundaries to avoid splitting UTF-16 surrogate pairs, preserving emoji and other characters represented by these pairs. Previews still include matching text and ellipses when content is omitted.
Documentation
Clarified that matching-line previews target a maximum of 200 characters but may extend by up to two UTF-16 code units to keep surrogate pairs intact. Other multi-code-point sequences may still be split.

Preview extraction adjusts its start and end boundaries to preserve surrogate pairs while retaining ellipses when text is omitted. Documentation allows up to two extra UTF-16 code units. The test checks for unpaired surrogates, and the changelog describes the 200-character limit and truncation around the match.
IJHack/QtPass#2075: Introduced the bounded long-line preview that this change updates to preserve surrogate pairs.
IJHack/QtPass#2061: Added bounded content-search results and the long-line preview behavior that this change continues.

Explanation
The title "Content search preview: never half a surrogate pair" matches the main change. The diff makes long-line previews in NativeGrep::matchFile move their start and end boundaries so a surrogate pair is never split. It also updates the kMaxPreviewLength docs, the CHANGELOG, and adds a non-BMP preview test. The title names the feature and the specific fix, so a teammate scanning history would understand the primary change.

A rabbit checks the preview line, And keeps each paired glyph intact. It nibbles past the cut-off edge, While ellipses mark what text is gone. The match stays clear, the line stays whole, Then hops away beneath the moon.

Right
A start on a low surrogate takes the high one before it, and an end on a high surrogate takes the low one after it. start > 0 and end < t.size() keep both inside the line, and t.sliced() gets valid bounds. The "…" checks now use the adjusted end.
The test is well chosen: with ab before the pairs and x before hit, the window falls inside a pair at both edges. It then checks every surrogate in the preview, not just the first and last.
Pedantic, non-blocking
"One more" can be two. In a run of pairs, an odd start gives an end - 1 of start + 199 relative to the run, so a high surrogate. Both edges then adjust, and the preview is 202 code units: exactly the test's case. The doc ("one more to keep a surrogate pair whole") and the PR text ("at most one code unit longer") should say "up to two more, one per edge".
The CHANGELOG line ("matching line, around the match and never half an emoji; a .gpg-id.sig must be …") is now much longer than its neighbours. prettier lets it through (prose wrap is preserved), but re-wrapping it at the same width keeps the source readable.
Henk's review of #2081: both edges can adjust, so the window can be two
code units longer, not one; and the CHANGELOG line is wrapped at the
width of its neighbours again.

Re-review of 43a8b1a (on top of c3ecfc1, which I approved). Doc and CHANGELOG only: the doc now says "up to two more, one per edge", and the CHANGELOG line is wrapped like its neighbours again. Both of my pedantic points are fixed, and the code is unchanged.

85882b9 only merges main into the branch: git show --remerge-diff shows no conflict resolutions, and the PR still touches only its four files. c3ecfc1 and 43a8b1a, which I approved, are unchanged.

CodeRabbit on #2081: kMaxPreviewLength counts UTF-16 code units, not
characters; what is kept whole is a surrogate pair, not every emoji (a
ZWJ sequence or a flag can still be cut between its code points), and
the CHANGELOG says so; the test also checks the expanded size
(kMaxPreviewLength + 4: one code unit and one "…" per edge).

Re-review of 4d6a0d3 (rebased onto main; git range-diff shows the two commits I approved unchanged). Right: "UTF-16 code units" is what kMaxPreviewLength counts, "a surrogate pair" is all that is kept whole (a ZWJ sequence or a flag can still be cut, and the doc now says so), and the size check (kMaxPreviewLength + 4) pins both edge adjustments in the test.
Pedantic, non-blocking: the CHANGELOG line just above still says "at most 200 characters of a matching line", while the doc now says code units and up to two more. For a changelog "characters" is fine; I'm only mentioning it in case you want the two to match.
CodeRabbit on #2081: the script quoted the temporary path in '...', which
a TMPDIR holding a quote breaks. It reads wide.txt from its own directory
now, so no path is written into it.

Re-review of a2049cf (on top of 4d6a0d3, which I approved). Test only: the stand-in reads wide.txt through $(dirname "$0"), and both lie in the same QTemporaryDir (tmp.filePath("gpg-long") and tmp.filePath("wide.txt")). It's started by its absolute path, so $0 is right, and no path is quoted into the script any more. Good.
