Hi, I'm Maximilian Lombardo

Product Manager · Biological AI & Foundation Models · Creative Technologist

I work at the intersection of product management, biological AI, and foundation models — building systems that enable scientific discovery. At Biohub (formerly the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative), I productize foundation models and AI-powered tools for computational biologists and researchers. I came to product from a computational biology background, pairing technical depth with creative problem-solving.

  • Biological foundation models & the Virtual Cells Platform — orchestrating model releases across AI Research, Engineering, and Product.
  • CELLxGENE — visualization, data discovery, and API tooling for single-cell data and AI models.
