Each of these songs are composed quite well, but I have certain complaints about all of them.

Potential

What should be changed:

  • The volume should be lowered by 4.5 dB.
  • There is a lot of subtle clicking going on in this song, probably from the sound fonts you're using.
  • The instruments at the end (the 3 guitar strings) should instead be a plucky synth with some reverb.
  • The song overall needs some reverb.

Suggestions:

  • The last three notes being A#5, F#5, G#5 feels unresolved, but is a cool motif callback. Maybe try something like A#5, D5, C5 for a better resolution, or add an extra note after your motif to resolve it better.
  • The bass notes could be longer or be given more reverb.

The Good:

  • The composition here is probably the best out of all your songs!

Prairie

What should be changed:

  • The volume should be lowered by 5.2 dB.
  • The guitar plucks at 0:30 and beyond sound very MIDI and could use some sort of filter and/or velocity changes in order to mask it.
  • Additionally, make the guitar picks a different instrument! I'm not very convinced about the sound font you used here.
  • The main melody could use some velocity changes as well.
  • Give the pad some more spread-out panning.

Suggestions:

  • Maybe a little bassline that comes in somewhere, replacing some of the guitar pluck notes you have going on there.

The Good:

  • The composition is again very good! I love how it changes chords in an unconventional manner.

Resting Block

What should be changed:

  • The volume should be lowered by 5.5 dB.
  • The intro to this song is magnificent and ambient, but then as soon as 0:30 rolls around, all the cool ambience is lost. Do you think you can try to add more to this section?
  • The plucky guitar again needs changed. Needs velocity changes.
  • When the song has all those instruments at once in 1:09, it's best to lower some of them for a more consistent volume.

Suggestions:

  • I feel like a lot of the instruments here should be changed. They're very uninteresting.
  • A proper resolution to the song would be nice! It feels like it just ends out of nowhere.

The Good:

  • Composition, like always. Just dragged down by the other bits.

Overall

I really like these songs composition-wise, but they need more effort put into them before they're added in. Right now they feel like MIDIs whipped up in an afternoon, but I think if you spent some more time on them, they could really shine as amazing ambient tracks.

Oh, and please keep the tracks in lowercase for consistency. (I forgot to add that rule XD)

If you're on windows, just make a commit removing the tracks, rename them, then re-add them.
