# The MochaMod Manifesto
## A Philosophical Treatise on the Installation of Minecraft Mods

---

> *"To install a mod is to install a dream."*
> — Sun Tzu, probably

---

## Preamble

We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all mods are created equal, that they are endowed by their developers with certain unalienable Features, that among these are Gravity, Fancy Biomes, and the Pursuit of Endermen.

When in the course of Minecraft events it becomes necessary for a player to dissolve the vanilla bands which have connected them to the base game, a decent respect for the opinions of the server requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the installation.

---

## Article I: On the Nature of the Mods Folder

The `.minecraft/mods` folder is not merely a directory. It is a *sanctuary*. A *cathedral* of `.jar` files. Each mod a pilgrim. Each pilgrim seeking purpose.

Do not enter this folder lightly.

Do not enter this folder with a heart full of doubt.

Enter this folder only with MochaMod Loader and the knowledge that you are doing the right thing.

---

## Article II: On the Burden of the User

The user who clicks "Replace Mod Folder" bears a great and terrible responsibility. They are not merely moving files. They are:

- Killing the old world
- Birthing the new world
- Becoming, in some small way, a god of `.jar` files

This is why there is a warning dialog. The warning dialog is not just a UX decision. It is a **moral checkpoint**.

---

## Article III: On Platform Compatibility

Windows users: You are supported.
macOS users: You are supported, and we see you. We see your courage.
Linux users: You are supported. You probably didn't need this tool anyway. You figured it out with a shell script in 1997.
Other OS users: We cannot help you. But we respect your commitment to the bit.

---

## Article IV: The Seven Pillars of Mod Installation

1. **Clarity** — Know which folder you are selecting.
2. **Courage** — Click OK on the warning dialog.
3. **Patience** — Let the copy operation finish.
4. **Wisdom** — Do not install 400 mods and wonder why your game crashes.
5. **Humility** — Acknowledge that OptiFine may or may not work.
6. **Hope** — That Forge and Fabric will one day be unified.
7. **Acceptance** — That they will not.

---

## Article V: A Haiku

```
mods folder replaced
one hundred and twelve .jar files
game crashes on load
```

---

## Article VI: Frequently Asked Philosophical Questions

**Q: If a mod is installed and no one is online to see it, does it make a sound?**
A: Yes. It makes the sound of the game loading for 4 minutes.

**Q: Is it ethical to delete someone else's mods folder?**
A: This software does not facilitate this. Please reflect on why you asked.

**Q: What is the meaning of version 1.5.2?**
A: It means we have been here before. We have made mistakes. We have grown. We are version 1.5.2.

---

## Conclusion

MochaMod Loader was made for friends. That is enough. That is everything.

In a world of enterprise software, of SaaS dashboards and quarterly roadmaps, there exists a small Python script with a tkinter GUI that just... moves some files into your `.minecraft/mods` folder.

And it is beautiful.
