SublimeLinter-json

This linter plugin for SublimeLinter provides an interface to the JSON parser built into Sublime Text. It will be used with files that have the "JSON" syntax.

To facilitate editing Sublime Text settings files, which may contain comments, this linter allows line comments (//) and multiline block comments (/* */), but they may not appear at the end of a line (after JSON data).

Installation

SublimeLinter must be installed in order to use this plugin.

Please use Package Control to install the linter plugin.

Settings

This linter accepts a "strict" setting, which if false uses Sublime Text's "loose" parser so that trailing comma's and comments are accepted.

In strict mode the linter also reports objects that repeat a key ({"a": 1, "a": 2}), at the second occurrence. This is on by default and can be turned off with "check_duplicate_keys", for example for very large files (the check makes parsing somewhat slower) or for files that use repeated keys on purpose, such as in place of comments. Like every linter setting it can be set globally in the SublimeLinter settings, or per project in the SublimeLinter section of the project file:

The check is not done when "strict" is false.
