feat: Expand tarball thumbnail support

Summary

Add support for more types of tarballs.
Closes #1505

As discussed on discord, I haven't registered the compressor extensions like .gz with the archives in file_groups.py.
One side effect of that is, that archives without thumbnails get the default file icon instead of the one for archives.

So I've realized that the handling of multi-suffix files like this is currently not working as intended (see bug #1533), the fix of which will change how this PR is handling its MediaTypes and make things a whole lot more straightforward. I've also opened up #1534, which requests to split file decompression out of the archive renderers to make it available to other compressed file formats. I'll be addressing those soon, so the foundation of this PR will be shaken up once that's completed.

I've just handled #1533 and #1534 in #1536, and also went ahead and added in a co-author commit with the changes here that were enough to close out #1505. Up to you if you'd like to rework this PR or open a new one that includes the other unified API changes here. Either way, thank you for your work on this so far!
