I'm a software engineer based in Palermo, Italy, with around seven years of professional experience in web development.
I'm a creative person, and I love building things. Developing applications is one of my favourite ways to express that creativity: taking an idea, shaping how it works, and turning it into something people can actually use.
AI has unlocked a new level of creative freedom for me. Working with it helps me bring more of what I imagine to life, experiment with unfamiliar technologies, and explore ideas across web applications, native apps, games, and learning tools.
My strongest background is in frontend engineering with TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Angular. I'm now combining that experience with university studies in computer science and AI, and a growing range of personal projects.
- Computer science & AI: completing my BSc in Computer Science at the University of Catania while attending courses in the MSc in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Palermo.
- Learning tools: turning cryptography, coding theory, and other course material into searchable study resources and interactive explanations.
- Game development: building a 2D space shooter in Godot with C# for my university game development project.
- Tools for classmates: developing shared study resources and a private class directory.
My current studies include knowledge representation and reasoning, cryptography and coding theory, and pattern discovery for life sciences. I'm also interested in robotics, electronics, and the connection between software and the physical world.
A native, offline macOS encyclopedia for cryptography and coding theory, built with Swift and SwiftUI. It includes Italian and English explanations, mathematical notation, linked topics, exercises, personal notes, and bookmarks.
A personal, local TypeScript MCP server that connects ChatGPT to YouTube subscription management. It uses Google OAuth and requires explicit confirmation before subscribing or unsubscribing.
My personal website, built with Astro: a home for software experiments, writing, and university study resources.
I also contribute to Kronos, a lightweight cron scheduler with webhook support, focusing on its interface and frontend architecture.
| Area | Technologies |
|---|---|
| Main languages | TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL |
| Web interfaces | React, Angular, Next.js, Astro, Vite |
| Backend & data | Node.js, REST APIs, PostgreSQL |
| Tools & practices | Git, testing, CI/CD, Docker, web performance, debugging |
| Recent project work | Swift, SwiftUI, C#, Godot, Model Context Protocol (MCP) |
I care about maintainable code, clear abstractions, performance, and understanding how systems work beneath the interface.
I use AI as a creative collaborator throughout the process: exploring possibilities, shaping ideas, prototyping, and refining applications. I care about understanding and verifying what I build, and learning through the work itself.
I'm particularly interested in useful software at the intersection of software engineering, AI, and education.
