What's Changed

Unofficial maintenance release. DataJoint no longer supports versions before 2.0. This release only fixes installation with setuptools 82 and later; the full test suite was not run.

Bug Fix

  • Remove the setuptools pin and the otumat dependency (#1571, @tabedzki): plugin discovery now uses importlib.metadata instead of pkg_resources, which setuptools 82 removed, and otumat's two helper functions are copied into datajoint.plugin. setuptools and otumat are no longer runtime dependencies. Plugin behavior is unchanged.
