Great work. I don't have any comments. Only an idea for smoke test in CI that it is already an open issue t add CI/CD testing

Reduce image size by removing build time dependencies and introduce multistage build of the container.
This reduces the image size from 2.74 GB to 1.06 GB. The image is still relatively large, as we need geospatial libraries like geos and proj.
I also suggest up the version to v1.1.0.
