Now usage of deprecated[1] `ReportingExtension.baseDir` by pitest plugin shows up in build scan. [1]: https://docs.gradle.org/current/userguide/upgrading_version_8.html#reporting-base-dir
As of Nov 8, there is no release version so far[1], and rc.2 is the latest RC version. From rc.1's notes[2]: > Compatibility notes. Java 17+ and Gradle 8.4+ are the minimal supported versions.
