Summary

  • Renames the module path from github.com/eshaffer321/monarchmoney-go to github.com/eshaffer321/monarch-go, matching Monarch's product rebrand from "Monarch Money" to "Monarch"
  • Sweeps prose/comments across README, CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, docs, and code comments from "Monarch Money" to "Monarch"
  • Bumps the client UserAgent string to monarch-go/2.0.0
  • Updates cmd/mcp-server's submodule (go.mod require/replace) to match

Breaking change

Consumers must update their import paths to github.com/eshaffer321/monarch-go. This will ship as v2.0.0. The GitHub repo itself will be renamed to monarch-go after this merges (GitHub auto-redirects the old clone/go-get URL).

Test plan

  • go build ./... passes (root module)
  • go build ./... passes (cmd/mcp-server submodule)
  • go test ./pkg/monarch/... passes
  • go test ./... passes in cmd/mcp-server
  • go vet ./... passes
  • Swept repo for remaining "monarchmoney"/"Monarch Money" references — only the credited external Python project name (hammem/monarchmoney) and historical CHANGELOG entries intentionally left untouched

Monarch Money renamed the product to just "Monarch." Rename the module
path from github.com/eshaffer321/monarchmoney-go to
github.com/eshaffer321/monarch-go to match, and sweep prose/comments in
docs and code from "Monarch Money" to "Monarch." Bumps the client
UserAgent to monarch-go/2.0.0.

BREAKING CHANGE: consumers must update their import paths to
github.com/eshaffer321/monarch-go.
