Summary

Adds docs/principles-from-the-field.md — a third thinking-aid companion to principles-from-science.md and principles-from-history.md. Where those borrow operating principles from the sciences and from a documented life, this one draws from running the motion itself: six field-tested go-to-market principles, each with a plain-language explanation and a worked example (no quotes — a field principle earns its place by the example, not a citation).

  • Ownership — proximity is not ownership; make each part legibly load-bearing.
  • Daily discipline — open the day with one forward-motion question; answer past the minimum.
  • Decisions — the imaginary lion (real reason vs. manufactured excuse); apply the right call fully and now.
  • Reading the return — one durable relationship can be the whole return on an apparently fruitless effort.
  • Character & judgment — built by choice under testing, non-transferable; the standard is right-because-it's-right.
  • Attention & inputs — guard your inputs and actively hold the vision; drift to the ambient is the default.

Applied to the daily rituals (the doc's "Where these land in the kit" map, now wired in, not just proposed):

  • /morning-briefing — its top-three step now opens with the explicit forward question.
  • /weekly-review — adds an ownership read and a relationship-quality read (read a channel's return by the quality of relationships it surfaced, not only headline volume).
  • /end-of-day — adds a lion check for any task repeatedly deferred behind a citable obstacle.

Wired into the README docs table and the CHANGELOG [Unreleased] per the kit's conventions.

Test plan

  • Internal doc/command links resolve; markdown-only — the shellcheck and structural CI surfaces are untouched.
  • Voice and format match the principles-from-* family and the existing ritual commands (terse, generic, non-prescriptive, MIT-kit-appropriate).
  • Step renumbering in /weekly-review (now 1–11) and /end-of-day (now 1–6) is sequential.

…review conflict

Combined HEAD's relationship-quality framing in step 2 with main's explicit
ops/feedback-log.md path in step 3.

Status: Merge conflict resolved and pushed.

What was done:

  • Found a merge conflict in .claude/commands/weekly-review.md between this branch and main
  • Resolved the conflict: combined both sides — kept the quality-of-relationships nuance from main while preserving the ops/feedback-log.md MARKETING-ACTION reference from this branch
  • Committed the merge as 74e50ae and pushed to claude/eloquent-pascal-8Qpcw

CI: No CI configured on this repo — nothing to check.

Review comments: None unresolved.

Next action for Edwin: PR is now conflict-free and ready for review/merge when you're ready.
