This new functionality is similar to how the WPF version of XL works, there is now a new menu that will allow you to enter a beta key track and key which will then populate the branch picker with the associated branch that the key unlocks. Here are some screenshots of the workflow: 
If you enter a valid key then when you close the modal and open the picker:

This looks great! I think we can skip the track and follow WPF where it only matches key. Those will always be unique across branches |

Makes sense, even if they weren't unique to a certain degree it will allow you to have additional branches to pick from |

This branch is definitely not ready to merge, serves as a starting point for adding manual beta key entries next to the branch selector.
